Opening a Training Course for Research-Fellow Students on “The Effect of Electronic Devices on Children’s Speech

This training course is managed at the Department of Malay Gawra Research Center and will provide an invaluable opportunity for participants to explore the impact of electronic devices on children’s language development and speech patterns. With the increasing prevalence of screen time among young children, understanding the potential effects of such exposure has become crucial for educators, speech therapists, and researchers.

The course aims to:

  1. Equip participants with the skills and methodologies necessary for conducting fieldwork and collecting data.
  2. Facilitate the analysis of the relationship between electronic device usage and its influence on speech development in children.
  3. Provide a platform for students to collaborate and share findings, fostering a deeper understanding of the topic through hands-on research.

We will invite experts in child development, speech therapy, and digital media to guide our discussions and fieldwork. Participants will also engage in practical exercises, case studies, and data entry & analysis, ensuring they gain both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
