Training Courses for using SPSS, MATLAB, and Python

To improve the scientific level of research, which is the aim of the second pillar of the KOU 2023-2027 strategic plan, the deanship of R&D centers will open a reinforcement course for instructors and postgraduate students (MSc, MA, and PhD) of our university, about statistics and implementation of the program including (SPSS) and (Python + MATLAB).

Note: The course will continue for six days, from (8/9/2024) to (15/9/2024) for each day (2) hours. The courses will be leaded by:

Assist. Prof.  Dr. Abdulbasit Al-Talabani is from the Department of Software Engineering, Faculty of Engineering. He earned his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Buckingham, where his research concentrated on developing innovative methods for recognizing emotions through speech.

Assist Prof Khalid Ismail Mustafa from the Department of Psychology Education, Faculty of Education – Koya University, a Visiting Professor, at Circuit University, New York – USA. Instructor of statistics for more than twenty years as well as supervised dozens of BSc, MSc, and PhD students.

Assist. Prof. Dr. Safar Maghdid Assad is from the Department of Software Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Koya University. He recently received his PhD in Information Engineering from Erbil Polytechnic University, Iraq (2024).

Dr. Kochr Ali Mahmood is from the Faculty of General Medicine. His passion for improving community health led me to further my studies, culminating in a Ph.D. in Community Health. In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I am honored to lead the Medical Research Center at the university.
